Barossa Shiraz fruit from a great friend on Gomersal Rd (with a little Cabernet from the same vineyard). In the lead up to the 2017, Dean Holkas encouraged the Viergever family to make a little wine again after several years break.
After a gentle fermentation, stretched out by regular pump overs, the wine was matured for 20 months in barrels with a twist – older shaved American Oak from the Shenandoah region, with new French Oak heads, creating the style of Lost Wolf.
Hand bottled with minimal filtration. Under screwcap so no chance off disappointment with a poor cork.
